About Me

I originally hail from Indianapolis, IN and eventually moved to a far away land called Fishers. I am married to a beautiful, loving, and supportive wife, have three amazing kids (most of the time), a golden doodle mutt named Archie, and two flying rats named Finn and Olly (technically cockatiels - but they are as dirty as rats).

I love to build and create things. It is my therapy, my meditation, and my zen. From woodworking to music to software to organizations and more. Seeing my visions come to life is infinitely rewarding.

I am a fairly thorough planner but also a tinkerer. It's probably safe to say I plan about 80% of most projects and the final 20% is tinkering and iteration.

I'm a hearty mix of a designer, builder, and manager. I find passion in all of those roles but not all the time because I always hunger for change.

I started my first company when I was in the 9th grade. A woodworking company, where I built anything from wall shelves to vanities to custom car consoles for cops (I'm the son a 45 year police veteran).

I once taught a high school programming class. I could write books from what I learned about planning, communicating, coaching, and measuring results from just that one year I taught.

I worked as a large company consultant for a short bit, a director of IT for the IUPUI Auxiliaries (money-making departments), and one of the first 3 developers for a hugely successful email marketing company named ExactTarget.

In 2001 I started Marketpath. I originally named it Agora Technology Corporation because people still looked for IT services in the phone book! At first I offered website design and development, custom application programming, and even computer support services. I helped companies solve efficiency challenges they knew they had and many more they didn't.  I loathed the computer support and dropped it quickly - although I'm bound by genetic and marital contracts to offer it to my immediate family and in-laws.

Since inception Marketpath should have been several separate businesses. It is where I received my hard Knox MBA and learned that a company's driving mission should be to provide real, tangible value to its customers first and then profit to its shareholders second. Without the first, profits will dry up or never materialize.

Marketpath has grown into a Software-as-a-service web content management platform that is fully managed. We provide all the backend technical and infrastructure details so our customers can focus on content that drives lead conversions and customer satisfaction.
