My Review

I listened to the audiobook version of this on walks with my dog, who I yell at regularly for stopping too often. I remind him regularly that it's called a "walk" and not a "stop," but he doesn't care. Perhaps this is why I didn't get much from this, which would certainly be a disservice to the author. But, while I'm sure that contributed to my rating, it wasn't the sole reason for the 3.

I did get some valuable information from the book. The most important idea was the importance of developing the character's 3rd rail - the internal struggle or belief that hinders their goals. It was part reassurance that my first book dug into the character's internal struggles but also a reminder that it's a crucial element.

Other than that, there were a lot of tips and tricks and situational discussions that I didn't feel added a great deal of value. I also got bored hearing about Ruby and Henry. I don't know. Maybe it was all the dog's fault.
