Wuthering Heights

My Review

This was the last of my $1 Walmart books from the mid 90's. I never got that excited about it but I finally read it.

I did enjoy the writing style and the story was pretty good. I enjoyed Pride & Prejudice immensely more than Wuthering Heights. Perhaps it's because Pride & Prejudice has a happy ending. I'm not entirely dependent on happy endings, though, to keep a book in my favor.

The only character in Wuthering Heights I fell in love with was Nelly, the seemingly well-educated servant. In my opinion, she's the real hero of the story and the main character. Everyone else had to face the fate of their own ridiculous decisions. Different time, different rules... I know. But still....
